Through a special relationship we have with growers, our Rosé of Cabernet Sauvignon is produced using the skin contact method, barrel fermented and aged in neutral French Oak. We feel we have produced a wine that is a treat to your palate, and we are proud to pay homage to what is well known as the world’s oldest type of wine.
2020 was a trying year for growers, working through a pandemic and a series of fires, but we produced a bright, fresh and savory wine. Fortunately, the initial growing season was perfect, and as one of the best requirements for making a Rosé is that you pick early, we picked before the smoke settled on the vines. The resulting harvest and processing of these grapes created a savory wine that glides through your palate. It was such a success, we have introduced the Rosé into our portfolio of wines.
Tasting Notes: Perfect amount of acidity, the right amount of fruit to quench your thirst. While stone fruit and melon is balanced on the finish, the 2020 hits your tongue with an almost effervescent intensity followed by notes of citrus and lavender. SOLD OUT
2021 has been described as a winemakers dream, we experienced rain in the beginning of the year, then no measurable precipitation fell until after harvest – ideal for flowering, set and veraison. While we experienced lower yields, the fruit was exceptional for wine making with deep concentration.
Tasting Notes: Bright and zesty, flavors of juicy melon, citrus rind, mineral driven acidity, incredible texture, peach blossom, vibrant acidity. SOLD OUT
2022 yielded light crop loads, but that translated into better quality fruit. The clusters we brought in to crush were beautiful. Our third year making this wonderful gift to great memories and we think we nailed it! We allowed the skins to sit on the juice a little longer creating a beautiful blush colored wine, while the minuscule change in color really has no affect on the flavor, its nice to see a perfect impression of our version of a Provençal Rosé.
Tasting Notes: Melon and peach aromas, the acidy is refreshing and ideal, graceful berry flavors and aromas complete a lingering finish with intense minerality.
